伊朗1953年政變: "If I sit silently, I have sinned"
破天荒 歐巴馬公開承認美涉伊朗1953年政變

美國總統歐巴馬今天對伊朗展現重大修好姿態，他承認美國涉及1953年推翻當時的伊朗總理莫沙德（Mohammad Mossadegh）政府的政變。
歐巴馬在開羅對穆斯林世界的主題演說中說：「在冷戰中，美國曾參與推翻伊朗民選政府的行動。」
這是首次美國現任總統公開承認涉及這項政變。
在莫沙德將當時一直是由英國人擁有的「英伊石油公司」（Anglo-Iranian Oil
Company）經營的伊朗石油產業國有化後，美國中央情報局（CIA）在英國支持下，幕後策劃這次政變。
對許多伊朗人而言，這次政變顯示美國的口是心非，將自已說成是自由的捍衛者，但為了自己的經濟和戰略利益，卻毫不猶豫地使用卑劣方法，除掉以民主方式選出的政府。
後來美國繼續成為當時的伊朗國王巴勒維（ShahMohammad Reza
Pahlavi）的主要支持者。巴勒維是在1979年的伊斯蘭革命中被推翻。
伊斯蘭革命後，美國和伊朗的關係中斷，美國前總統布希並且將德黑蘭 政府和伊拉克 的海珊政權及史達林主義的北韓 一起稱為「邪惡軸心」。
但自從今年初就任總統以來，歐巴馬即一再建議伊朗，就其核子計畫和其他懸而未決的重大議題進行對話。（譯者：簡長盛）

Mossadegh 宣佈將石油國有化，更將國王巴列維驅逐，英美的情報機關聯合反莫沙德勢力發動政變，將他推翻。 ...結果...他被稱為叛國者.....
Tried as a traitor in a military court, on December 19, 1953,
Mossadegh pronounced:
"Yes, my sin-- my greater sin... and even my greatest sin is that I nationalized Iran's oil industry and discarded the system of political and economic exploitation by the world's greatest empire. ...This at the cost to myself, my family; and at the risk of losing my life, my honor and my property. ...With God's blessing and the will of the people, I fought this savage and dreadful system of international espionage and colonialism....I am well aware that my fate must serve as an example in the future throughout the Middle East in breaking the chains of slavery and servitude to colonial interests."
Mossadegh was convicted of treason. He was placed in solitary confinement for three years followed by house arrest for the remainder of his life in his ancestral village of Ahmad Abad. On March 5th, 1967, Mohammad Mossadegh died at age 85, one year after the passing of his beloved wife of 64 years.
Mossadegh lived with the motto: "If I sit silently, I have sinned." - a timeless call to action to all who seek peace and
justice in the world, at any place, any time.

It was America's first successful dismantling of a foreign government, and Iran has not known democracy since. WE NEED TO FLIGHT FOR DEMOCRACY, NOT JUST ASK FOR....!!! DUN JUST SIT SILENTLY..TO GIVE IS TO GET...
